Symbol 'Liver Bird' first appeared in
uniform Liverpool FC in the FA Cup final in 1950. Significantly symbol has
become part of the long journey Liverpool FC. Liverpool emblem is the first
change in the season 1955 - 1956 in which the images Liver Bird is inside the
circle and writing LFC Ouval under Liver Bird.
In 1968 the decision was taken to
introduce a more modern club emblem. Symbol Liver Bird directly embroidered
uniform to get rid of players with a foothold on the foot line 'Liver Bird' and
remove Ouval circle. This symbol survived until 1987, which in 1985 changed the
uniform sponsor of UMBRO to ADIDAS.
Along with the change of uniform
sponsor, the symbol of Liverpool in 1987 to change that to 3. Symbol Liver
Bird back in the shield as the first symbol of Liverpool FC, but this time the
writing of Liverpool Football Club under Liver Bird is not in short. This
symbol survived until 1992, where Liverpool FC will hold a celebration of the
100th anniversary year.
To celebrate 100 years of Liverpool FC,
the club crest undergo significant changes. Addition ornament 'Shankly Gates'
with the words 'You'll Never Walk Alone' at the top of the shield 'Liver Bird'
is meant to remind the service manager Bill Shankly who has been a solid
foundation for Liverpool FC. In the shield there are the words Liverpool
Football Club 100 years and the symbol Liver Bird. Then under the shield is
written numbers from 1892 to 1992.
In 1993 the club crest changed again
with the addition of twin flames at either side of the shield Liver Bird. The
twin flames to commemorate the victims of the Liverpudlian Hillsborough
tragedy. Symbol Liverpool last unchanged until 1999. Symbol Liverpool FC are
currently made in 1999 only with 2 color composition. But since 2002, Liverpool
FC emblem made with full color as it is today.
